Covid-19: India Gets Russian Vaccine Data

About three weeks back, Russia claimed that it has developed the vaccine for the global pandemic Covid-19 which has infected and killed millions so far. However, many had doubts on Russia’s vaccine as it was developed in quick time and medical experts were in dual minds about this vaccine.

Amidst these happenings, Russia is said to have handed over key data related to the Covid-19 vaccine. After two phases of vaccine trials, the data is handed over to India and if the results are positive, the third phase of vaccine trials might be held in India.

Coming to India’s tally of total cases, it has touched the 42 Lakh mark and has gone mark Brazil to be the second worst hit country after USA. Freshly 90,802 new cases and 1,016 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

The total cases count stands at 42,04,614 while 71,642 deaths are reported. Union health ministry stated that India’s recovery rate is 77.31 per cent and a total of 32.5 Lakh people have recovered so far including 69,564 in the last 24 hours.
