US: Trump To Be Charged, Finger-Printed, Mug Shot & No Handcuffs

Former US President Donald Trump will be formally charged, fingerprinted, and have a mug shot taken today. Donald Trump will appear in court on Tuesday. Trump will be charged with 34 felony counts. He is not expected to be wearing handcuffs when he is escorted into the courtroom.

He was indicted last week, becoming the first former or sitting president to face criminal charges over a case involving a 2016 hush money payment to a p*orn star Stormy Daniels and as well as another six-figure payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Daniels said that TRump’s then-lawyer and ‘fixer’ Michael Cohen paid her to stay quiet about the alleged affair. Trump said he is innocent and will plead not guilty.

The Manhattan grand jury indicted Trump based on the evidence heard for months this year about a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign. Daniels has said she was paid to keep silent about a sexual encounter she had with Trump at a Lake Tahoe hotel in 2006. Trump denies having had any such relationship with her.

The former President is the frontrunner to be the Republican nominee in 2024. He has been facing charges in two other cases, one about the missing documents from the White House and the other about the January 6 U.S Capitol riots.

Trump will turn himself in on Tuesday amid tight security and he wrote on his Truth Social profile, ‘We have to take back our Country and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!’. He urged his supporters to donate to his campaign.

Donald Trump’s lawyers opposed videography, photography, and radio coverage as it would, ‘exacerbate an already almost circus-like atmosphere around this case’.

Barricades near Trump Tower and the Manhattan Criminal Court building were erected after Trumo arrived on Monday from Florida.
