Some actresses and actors are not hesitating to share their experiences from their struggling days. Even star performers today have faced rejections and demeaning comments. Actress Radhika Apte who earlier spoke about a South actor misbehaving with her, has now opened up on absurd comments made about her body.
Radhika Apte recalled the comments she received during her initial roles. She said in an interview that she is not ready to tolerate such comments anymore and if anybody makes them now she would make sure to get them fired.

Radhika says, ‘Perceptions are strange. People used to think that I could only be a village girl for the longest time, till I did Badlapur. After Badlapur, people thought I could only do sex comedies, I could strip. So, I stopped. I just never said yes to them. Perceptions are a bit bizarre. I lost a film because I was overweight by three or four kilos. Of course, when you’re new, they say, ‘Why don’t you get a better nose; why don’t you get bigger breasts?’ That was in the beginning.’
The actress also puts out an open secret at award ceremonies. Radhika said she was offered to attend an award for her performance in Monica Oh My Darling, but she was told she’d win only on the condition that she attend the ceremony. Radhika told them to keep the ward and she chose to skip the event.
