Glamour diva Mrunal Thakur was the showstopper for Telugu designer Anu Pellakuru at the BT Fashion Week that was held last night. The Seetha Ramam actress grabbed everyone’s attention as she looked drop dead gorgeous in a hot pink lehenga. The elegant ensemble is part of Anu Pellakuru’s new collection – Swarni Raha, an ode to Indian foliage and flowers.
Interacting with the media on the sidelines of the event, Mrunal said that she loves Indian outfits, which is also her style statement. Mrunal effortlessly donned a hot pink Lehenga, laced with intricate silk and pearl embroidery work. “I am so proud of my designer Anu, and I had a wonderful time walking the ramp, she spent 1400 hours just to make this outfit,” Mrunal said talking about her experience being a showstopper.
“I love wearing Indian outfits, and I love flowers. The way my designer Anu has incorporated the flowers and pearls in my outfit is quite amazing. It is a hot pink lehenga, it is something you should wear in summers. This is the season of weddings and festivities, I think this outfit I will opt for. Ramp-walk was fun, of course there is nervousness” the fashionista added.
On the professional front, Mrunal was recently seen in Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star. She is currently working on the Hindi flick, Pooja Meri Jaan. She also has a film with Tamil star Simbu, and is rumoured to be the prime choice for the leading lady in Prabhas’ film under Hanu Raghavapudi’s direction.
