All of Kerala is absolutely revolting against this case involving a 1.5 year old innocent boy named Arshad who was brutally mauled and tortured to death. Social media is absolutely burning up on this matter, and here is a brief look at the same.
Roughly 2 weeks ago, a short video recorded by a YouTuber went viral on social media. In the footage, a child just one and a half years old, Arshid, appeared smiling next to his mother, Akhila.
What drew the most attention was that the little boy’s arms were both injured badly. When asked, his mother lied, claiming it was all due to a bicycle fall.
Days later, the truth came to light as those injuries were not accidental, but the result of prolonged and brutal physical abuse. The little boy died after enduring continuous torture at the hands of his mother and stepfather.
Arshid was only 18 months old and lived through hell and the autopsy revealed that he was tortured to death by his mother and her partner. The baby had cigarette burns on his feet, internal hemorrhages, and bone fractures.
After early police investigations, Akshar, the mother’s partner, confessed to repeatedly assaulting the child.
He admitted to beating him against the wall, throwing him to the ground, and even burning him when he cried. The mother confessed that she was aware of the abuse but did not intervene.
The autopsy revealed between 51 and 91 wounds from different dates. The child’s body showed burns caused by cigarettes or lighters on his feet, hands, and back, trauma to the genital area, old and new fractures. There were multiple injuries to the head and other important organs as well.
The child died a couple of days ago after enduring extreme pain and torture from his own parents. This immediately started a revolution in Kerala, and there is a strong public demand to punish both the parents viciously.
