The Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau has registered a Disproportionate Assets case against DSP Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, who is currently serving in the Police Computer Services department in Hyderabad.
According to the ACB, the officer allegedly accumulated assets beyond his known sources of income through corrupt practices during his service. Based on the case, officials conducted searches on Thursday at his residence and 15 other locations linked to his relatives, friends and suspected benamidars.
During the raids, officials found documents related to the following assets:
— Villa at Vessella Meadows, Ibrahimbagh, Hyderabad
— G plus 2 house with penthouse in Telecom Nagar
— Flat in Sai Prabha Residency, Telecom Nagar
— Flat at Kranti Ceon Apartments, Gachibowli
— Share in a G plus 5 commercial complex at Manikonda
— Commercial space near Manikonda Marrichettu Junction
— Two residential flats in Tellapur
— 500 square yard plot near Pragathi Resorts
— 3.5 acres of agricultural land in Zaheerabad
— 44 acres of agricultural land in Karnataka
— One acre of land at Devanahalli, Bengaluru
— Open plot near Kamineni Hospital, Nagole
— Open plot near GPR Housing Society
— Two plots at Patancheru
— 1,000 square yard land parcel at Mominpet, Vikarabad
— Two acres of agricultural land at Mominpet
— Investment of Rs 75 lakh in Sri Raghavendra Rock Sand Minerals
— 4.20 acres of agricultural land at Muchintala village
The searches also led to the recovery of:
— Rs 3.6 lakh cash from the DSP’s residence
— Rs 40 lakh cash from an alleged benami’s house
— Around 2 kilograms of gold ornaments
— Around 20 kilograms of silver
— Bank deposits worth nearly Rs 19.91 lakh
The ACB said the market value of these properties could be much higher than the value mentioned in the documents. Further investigation is underway.
