A romantic surprise planned for a newly married couple has unexpectedly created a headache for Indian Railways. A First AC cabin on the Nandigram Express was decorated like a honeymoon room with flowers, balloons, rose petals and lights. The video of the beautifully decorated coach went viral on social media and caught everyone’s attention.
The incident happened on July 6 on Train No. 11002 Nandigram Express. The couple had reportedly booked a private event decorator online to decorate their First AC coupe before they boarded the train. The cabin looked more like a luxury hotel room than a railway compartment. An “I Love You” message, colorful balloons and flower decorations made the surprise even more special.
While many people loved the romantic idea, others raised an important question. They wanted to know how a private decorator was allowed to enter a secured railway coach. Railway officials later found that the decoration was done without permission. The decorator reportedly entered the train at Jalna station, which is a violation of railway rules and a serious security concern.
After the video became viral, South Central Railway launched an inquiry into the incident. The ticket checking staff member on duty was suspended for allowing the unauthorized entry. Officials said action will be taken against everyone responsible after the investigation is completed.
The incident has started a discussion on social media. Some people feel Indian Railways should introduce official decoration services for birthdays, anniversaries and honeymoon trips. Others say passenger safety and security should always come first and no one should be allowed to enter railway coaches without proper permission.
