As per reports, the couple living in the UK was initially accused of stealing millions of dollars meant for medical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic. After a detailed investigation, they are finally convicted for the charges.

Going into the details, a couple named Jogesh Bhandari and his wife Meenakashi Bhandari ran a company that claimed it could deliver millions of boxes of protective gloves to hospitals and businesses. Instead of supplying the goods, they took the money and used it to buy expensive items.

The couple used fake bank records and forged documents to convince buyers they had access to huge supplies of medical gloves. They took payments for orders that were never delivered, including orders meant for hospitals in the United States. Investigations showed they spent the money on luxury items high end cars, Rolex watches and expensive jewellery.

The couple, along with their business partner Craig Morris, were convicted of fraud and money laundering in a UK court. All three individuals are scheduled to be sentenced on August 21.
