While he was drunk, walking his way to the aircraft, he got into a flight with the airport authorities, and this resulted in him being detained.

The authorities decided that he was not in a position to fly in this aircraft, and hence his ticket was cancelled, and he was not permitted to fly. Subsequently, he had to face the legal consequences for creating nuisance, in addition to losing the flight ticket and the travel facility.

It is made very clear by the airport authorities that anyone who is extremely intoxicated and is creating a situation in the airport will not be permitted to fly at any cost. Social decency and public safety are of top priority here.
