AK47s, Pistols Stolen From Army Regiment In Hyderabad!

Generally, army areas are patrolled with the highest security arrangements as they are highly secured establishments. However, something extremely unexpected has happened at an Army regiment in Hyderabad, where multiple advanced weapons were reportedly stolen from within the regiment itself.

Army authorities have reported the theft of 12 weapons from the Madras Regiment in Hyderabad’s Cantonment area, where security is tightly controlled.

According to the early establishment, multiple persons are suspected of breaking the lock of a room where weapons were stored and taking them away.

Army officials lodged a complaint with Bollarum police station of Malkajgiri, which registered a case on Monday. Police are keeping details of the case confidential as it concerns a defence establishment.

The missing items were identified as four AK-47 rifles, six pistols, one rifle and ammunition. Senior Army officers inspected the scene and suspected that someone among the personnel could have been involved as outsiders have no access to the area.

It is extremely shocking to see an army regiment being looted by someone inside the premises and also witness so many advanced warfare weapons getting stolen. People are calling for more strict security arrangements in these strategic locations at least from now on.
