Telangana Youth Returns From UK, Drowns In Godavari

In an unfortunate incident, a young man from Telangana drowned in the Godavari River at Basar of Nirmal district and swept away due to the current. The deceased has been identified as Sai Kiran, a resident of Kolwoor village in the Nandipet Mandal of Nizamabad district.

Sai Kiran, aged 25 years, was pursuing his MBA in the United Kingdom. He recently came to home on vacation to spend time with family. He was supposed to return to UK on September 5 to resume his studies. Before his departure, he visited the famous Gnana Saraswati temple in Basar on Tuesday.

After completing his prayers, Sai Kiran walked onto the nearby bridge to take photos. Tragically, he accidentally slipped and fell into the overflowing river below. His family members immediately alerted the local authorities and launched a search operation. Unfortunately, his body was recovered from the river on Wednesday.

Temple authorities have warned visitors and pilgrims to exercise caution near the riverbanks and bridges, especially during high water levels.
