Know More About Apple’s First Foldable iPhone

Last night, Apple has launched its first foldable iPhone, called the iPhone Duo. This is a major change for iPhone users, as the phone can be used like a normal iPhone when closed and like a small tablet when opened.

The iPhone Duo comes with two screens. The outer display is 5.4 inches, which users can use for calls, messages, social media and other daily tasks. When opened, it offers a large 7.6-inch display. This bigger screen will be useful for watching videos, playing games, reading, working and using two apps at the same time.

Apple has used a new hinge system in the phone. The company says it is designed to make folding smooth and strong. The inside screen also has a special finish to reduce reflections and make the fold line less visible.

The new foldable iPhone runs on Apple’s A20 Pro chip. It is expected to offer fast performance for gaming, video editing, multitasking and AI features. The phone also has a new cooling system to manage heat during heavy use.

For cameras, the iPhone Duo has a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. Users can take selfies using the rear cameras by checking the outer display. The foldable design also lets users keep the phone on a table for video calls, photos and videos without needing a stand.

Apple has added Touch ID to the side button instead of Face ID. The phone supports eSIM only. The iPhone Duo is available in Star White and Night Sky colours. It starts at $1,999 in the US and will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. Pre-orders begin on October 16, while sales start on October 23.
