Why IITs Restricted Oracle, 21 Others From Campus Hiring?

It is already known that the Indian Institute of technology, IITs are the most prestigious educational institutions in all of India. This is the reason why many big companies are readily hiring students from these institutions as they are best in great when it comes to academics.

But now the IIT managements have taken pretty significant decision with regard to the job hiring freeze as multiple companies have gone back on their hiring spree.

IITs are set to restrict 22 companies, including Oracle, from participating in campus placements for the next two recruitment seasons after more than 150 job offers to 2026 graduates were reportedly withdrawn.

The All IITs Placement Committee is expected to communicate the decision to the affected companies by September 30. Oracle is among the firms facing the restriction, with around 40 offers reportedly not honoured across IITs.

The final list is still being compiled as individual IITs submit details to the placement committee. Placement teams are also helping affected students connect with other recruiters.
