Bill Gates Bats For ‘Preserving Jobs’ For Humans ?

Amid the AI revolution and rapid advancement, many software professionals at different levels are facing an uncertain future due to frequent job layoffs by leading tech giants all over the world. Now, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates came up with an interesting proposal and also called for ways to preserve jobs for humans as AI continues to take the lead over manual work in many sectors.

During an interview, Gates explained that AI is changing things way faster than older tech like computers or the internet ever did. Because of this, governments and society will soon need to make hard choices about protecting human work. He said that the world must figure out how to tax artificial intelligence and keep certain jobs safe for people.

Gates pointed out that AI models are getting better every single day. Companies want to use them because they are cheap and fast compared to hiring people. He believes that in the near future, society should put a tax on AI or robot usage.

He also mentioned that fields like healthcare and teaching might need rules to make sure humans stay in those roles. Apart from losing jobs, Gates is also worried about cyber security and bad people using AI tools to cause harm.

Gates opined that tech companies cannot govern themselves and governments need to step in with proper safety rules soon just like they do for airplanes and medicines.

Even Microsoft also laid off thousands of employees due to AI. But, Bill Gates’ suggestions can be taken on a serious note amid ongoing fears among workers who are worried about their future.
