Indian Software Sector Collapsing? What Did Zoho Boss Say?

The IT sector globally has been witnessing an extreme slowdown with companies increasingly aligning with Artificial intelligence and reducing human workforce. We have arrived at a stage where human jobs are getting extremely unpredictable, and this is getting emphasised further now.

One of the leading software companies in India, Zoho has hinted about a possible complete meltdown in the Indian software market. This comment came straight from the CEO of the company, Sreedhar Vembu.

This leading tech expert has commented that the companies that are relying on artificial intelligence for mainstream procedures to pay a big money to AI companies. He revealed that AI has become increasingly costlier with elevated prices.

About the financial cuts that have been happening at Zoho, Sridhar says “We have cut down on our marketing budget. We have also told our employees that we cannot have our usual pay increase this year. I have apolgized for not being able to avoid this.”

“We will work hard to avoid mass layoffs but the outlook for software jobs in general is grim. We have not been growing our employee count for 18 months now.” Sreedhar communicated as it was confirmed that Zoho had not been hiring or providing salary increments in the recent past.

This could be a potential indication that Indian software industry could be preparing for a meltdown in the days to follow as mass firings are looking increasingly possible.
