A new record has been established in world Cricket thanks to a sensational innings that was played by England captain Harry Brook in the game against Sri Lanka today.

England batted first in the ongoing game against Sri Lanka and they posted a massive score of 429 runs in the first innings. This is one of the highest scores recorded in the ODI format till now.

This was made due to an insane batting performance that was put up by Captain Harry Brook who scored a sensational 202 runs.

Harry Brook was phenomenal with the bat as he scored 202 runs from just 116 deliveries. He also happened to score the fastest double century in the history of Cricket as he reached this milestone and just 115 deliveries.

Previously, three Indians were in the list of double centuries scorers in the ODI format and they were Sachin Tendulkar Rohit Sharma and Ishaan Kishan. The new entry to the list is Harry Brook and he has announced himself with a sensational innings today.

A new record has been established in the ODI format of cricket as the fastest double century scorer is the captain of the England cricket team, Brook.
