The Fast And The Furious Saga Will End After Two Films – Vin Diesel

Hollywood action hero, Vin Diesel is cardinal enough to the Fast and The Furious franchise and it is doubtful it could continue without him in the future. It is likely the makers would switch to making spin-offs, prequels, or just stop the franchise altogether. The actor made a mark as the street racer patriarch with the F and F franchise but looks like his marvellous character will soon come to an end.

The actor recently spilt the beans in an interview that the “The Fast and The Furious” saga will conclude after two more films following the upcoming ninth instalment, “F9” as Universal Pictures are looking to wrap up the saga. The film will release in theatres on June 25. The remaining two final films could potentially release in 2023 and 2024. “Every story deserves its own ending,” said Diesel when asked about the franchise’s future.

In Fast and The Furious movies, we see solid character-centric writing and a story that is, at least for characters skirting the edges of the law of the road, reasonably logical in structure. And the outcome has always been a damn good melodrama. Not only fans, but even diesel’s daughter is also upset. Diesel told his daughter about the franchise’s conclusion and she began shedding tears, the actor said. “I know people are going to feel like it doesn’t have to end, but I think all good things should,” he said. “There are reasons for a finale. I think this franchise has deserved it.”

Universal Pictures had to push back the release of “F9” due to the coronavirus outbreak. The new film is expected to be one of the massive hits in the franchise as it will everyone’s favourite Sung Kang’s Han, John Cena, and also send a car into space. Director Justin Lin said “We got together and Vin says ’I think we should think about closing up the saga now. We’re kind of reconfiguring everything so that the next two movies should wrap up this amazing journey for these characters.”

We think it is safe to state that Vin Diesel proved his bankability in Hollywood more than a decade ago with the XXX franchise. It is clear that Diesel is one of the most valuable performers in the business who also had a successful career before F and F. With a good resume, his films Saving Private Ryan, Pitch Black and The Iron Giant gave him an opportunity to work with some great co-stars. His presence in F and F made his career and face value hit the apex. But sadly, all great things come to an end and the creators of the franchise, who succeeded in attracting millions of fans from different countries, will be missed dearly.
