Telugu Makers Tortured Me: Tamil Director
One director has publicly vented out his anger and anguish regarding the way he is treated by our fraternity. Though we cannot assert he is saying truth, insiders are also supporting the arguments of this Tamil director only.
Boopathy Pandiyan, estranged director of Gopichand-Nayantara's movie has walked out of that project only after some bitter incidents. The director says that he is tortured by the makers and hence he opted this way. 'Everyday they are asking me to change the script, torturing me mentally. For the sake of Gopichand's image they want to do all this, which I disliked', says Boopathy in an interview to Tamil media. The director felt that there is no freedom for commercial directors of Telugu cinema and they are struck in a well of frogs.
Telugu critics are also shoring up Pandiyan's words and they feel it is for this reason star director like Rajamouli said that he cannot handle the likes of big heroes. As long as we make this kind of movies, there is no question of talking or taking National Awards and recognition.
