Chiru Doesn’t Want Charan To Miss This

Chiranjeevi’s Acharya has been the center of speculations ever since the news about the special and comprehensive role in the film broke out. While reports had it that Koratala wants Mahesh Babu to do this special role which has screen time of 20 to 25 minutes, Chiranjeevi wants his son Ram Charan to do this. Here are the reasons why Chiru is so particular about having Ram Charan in his 152nd film.

Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s film is long overdue. The father-son duo have been wanting to do a film together since Magadheera where Chiru did a small cameo. After hearing Acharya and the special role which has huge significance in the movie and its novel story, Chiru is so impressed and wanted Charan to do this role. He is of the feeling that he and Charan may not get a script like Acharya again or at least in near future.

Apparently Chiru is keen that the special role would be apt for Ram Charan and fans would enjoy the duo’s screen presence. He is so convinced that both the roles are equally strong and important which is rare and hence Chiru doesn’t want Charan to miss this role.

The special role will have a song and a high-octane action episode. This role has heroism quotient, said sources in the know. So, Chiru is under the impression that if Charan misses this role now, it may take another 3 to 4 years for the duo to share screenspace in order to come up with a strong script.

However, Rajamouli’s multi-starrer historical fiction RRR is what said to be holding Charan back. For the special role in Acharya, Charan has to allot at least 25 to 30 days since an action episode and a song are planned. He also needs to change his existing look from RRR in order to look different in both the films that may come one after the other within a limited gap.

And for him to get back to the look of RRR, it may take further time for Charan which would further delay RRR. With the existing lockdown, the dilemma surrounding films and film releases may further force the makers to wrap up their films at the earliest once the lockdown ends and shootings resume.

So, for now, the suspense continues. Nothing has been confirmed yet. There could be last-minute surprises as well.
