The BJP has reportedly received Rs. 34.5 crore worth of electoral bonds from Sarath Chandra Reddy, an approver in the Delhi liquor policy case, as per data from the Election Commission of India.
Reddy, the owner of Aurobindo Pharma, purchased bonds worth Rs. 52 crore, with 66% going to the BJP, while the rest were claimed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Reddy’s involvement in the case has raised concerns, especially as Aurobindo Pharma made several donations to the BJP, totaling six times, with Reddy’s alleged engagement in unfair market practices under scrutiny.
Despite allegations made by AAP leader Atishi linking the donations to the BJP to the ongoing probe, neither Reddy nor Aurobindo Pharma has responded, and the BJP is yet to comment on the matter.
