Monday Stories: Irumudi Havoc At The Box Office

This is the 27th Edition of Monday Stories. Coming to previous films, Vishwanath and Sons raked 175 Crore Worldwide by the end of its second weekend.

In Telugu States, it has collected 51 Crore Gross while 45 Crore in Tamilnadu. The movie has underperformed in Tamil Nadu. It has to collect 80 Crore Gross for Breakeven. But the Performance in Overseas markets (6 Million USD) came to the rescue in overall Breakeven. 

The Telugu run was cut short in the second weekend due to Irumudi Storm still it managed to hold decent.

Nivin Pauly made a comeback with Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. The movie has collected 60 Crore Gross Worldwide with 25 Crore from India. In Hyderabad, it had a very limited release due to Irumudi, Vishwanath and Sons and other releases but ran with packed houses.

Malayalam films usually have long legs and so it has to be seen where the movie ends – 100 Crore or 150 Crore especially with Onam Weekend coming up. 

Irumudi is a sensation at the Box Office. The movie has collected 73 Crore Gross Worldwide in the first weekend. It has reached the Breakeven on its second day itself. It is likely that the movie may even hit the 100 Crore Share mark provided there is no theaters issue due to Toxic.

The movie has collected 1.38 Million USD in the Overseas. It is also the first One Million Dollar film of Ravi Teja at the North American Box Office.

Among notable films, it is easily the Biggest hit for all parties involved in terms of Return on Investment.
