Nayattu Remake: Allu Aravind Keeps His Promise?

The trend of remaking Malayalam hits is continuing in the Telugu film industry. After the likes of Ishq, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, and Kappela, yet another Malayalam film is all set to be remade in Telugu. It is Martin Prakkat’s directorial film Nayattu, which featured Joju George, Kunchacko Boban, and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles.

Nayattu is a suspense thriller that revolves around three cops who are trapped in a murder case. For the last few days, it is being reported that star producer Allu Aravind bagged the remake rights of this movie. Currently, the cast and crew are being finalized.

It is heard that Rao Ramesh and Anjali will be reprising the roles of Joju and Nimisha from the original. Satyadev or Sree Vishnu may play the role of Boban. Apparently, Allu Aravind has asked director Karuna Kumar to helm this project.

Karuna Kumar made his directorial debut with the 2020 film Palasa. After the success of Palasa, Allu Aravind promised a film to Karuna Kumar in the Geetha Arts banner.

Right after Palasa, Karuna made a web series titled Metro Kathalu for Allu Aravind’s OTT platform Aha. Now, it looks like Aravind gave him a second chance to realize his talent and to fulfill the promise he made to the filmmaker.

Karuna Kumar is currently busy with the works of his next release Sridevi Soda Center, which features Sudheer Babu and Aanandhi in the lead roles.

More details about Nayattu’s Telugu remake will be out soon.
