Vidya Balan takes Pawan’s title

Jalsa is one of the most successful films in the career of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Audiences enjoy watching this Trivikram’s directorial film even now with repeated viewings. Thus, it has become a highly popular title among Telugu folks.

Now, the same title has been fixed for Bollywood stalwart Vidya Balan’s upcoming project. The Kahaani actress announced her new film Jalsa last night. Revealing the project, she tweeted, “Beyond excited to reunite with #SureshTriveni and to team-up with the brilliant @ShefaliShah_ to create something special! 2022 mein #Jalsa hoga! #JalsaBegins Filming.”

Jalsa features Shefali Shah in the other lead role. Touted to be a female-centric film, it is being directed by Suresh Triveni of Tumhari Sulu fame. The filming has begun and the makers are planning to release it in 2022.

Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Suresh Triveni are bankrolling the projects under the banners of T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment. Jalsa features Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, and Gurpal Singh in the other pivotal roles.
