When Puri Jagan’s son Akash’s Mehbooba was released, this Kannada beauty’s name was a rage in Tollywood. Many thought that she is the next big thing in the Telugu industry and offers rained for her. But then, she made wrong assumptions about what to pick and what not, thus leading to a heavy slow down of her career.
Even before Kannada hotties like Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Shetty made it big here in the Telugu industry, actually Neha Shetty first roared here. While her Miss India South stint in 2015 got her the attention, her debut Kannada film won rave reviews followed by her Mehbooba debut in Telugu. But then, we are hearing that, Neha kept rejecting every film that came her way saying that she’s only looking for big heroes movies. From Allu Sirish’s ABCD to many other movies, Neha has a huge list of rejected movies in her kitty.
But after a sabbatical during which she went to the USA to do modelling and to Mumbai as well, finally, Neha Shetty appeared in Tollywood with Sandeep Kishan’s Gully Rowdy. And now, she’s even seen smooching and romancing Siddhu Jonnalagadda in DJ Tillu teaser, cutting off the glamour barriers. Definitely, these heroes are not of the league Neha has expected but had she acted in all the offers that came her way back then, she would have upped her game already.
Rather than not realising their mistake all through life, it’s better at least Neha got it right now, even though it’s late, and is signing back to back movies.
