Major reshuffling in the release dates of upcoming Tamil biggies

Theatres have opened across Tamil Nadu, but the big-budget and star-studded films are yet to hit the screens.

Meanwhile, it is being heard that there will be a major reshuffle among the upcoming releases, which may delay the arrival of a few anticipated projects.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is slated for release on November 4, during the Diwali festive season. But as per the latest buzz, it is being postponed to Christmas. Simbu’s Maanaadu, Vikram – Dhruv Vikram’s Mahaan and Vishal – Arya’s Enemy are eying for the Diwali release.

Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast, which is slated for Sankranthi release, may get postponed to April. The Pongal clash might be between Thala Ajith’s Valimai and Suriya’s Etharkum Thunindhavan.

The sources are opining that Beast may arrive during the Tamil New Year festive season. Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project Ponniyin Selvan part-1 is also aiming for the release during the same time.

It is being expected that the makers of these films will come up with the newly scheduled release dates in the next few days.
