Teaser Talk: Game of Thrones prequel is a visual extravaganza

Game Of Thrones is one of the most successful television shows in the world. Spanned over eight seasons, this epic drama has a huge fan following across the world. After its finale, the makers of the show and the broadcaster HBO teamed up again for a spin-off series named House Of The Dragon.

The first teaser of this new series has been unveiled recently by HBO Max. House Of The Dragon is the prequel of Game Of Thrones and will trace the history of House Targaryen. The story takes place 200 years before the fall of the Iron Throne.

The teaser starts off with an unknown voice over who utters the lines, “Gods. Kings. Fire. And blood.” We see dragons, King Pin, the landscape of King’s Landing and the very famous Iron Throne.

It also hints at a civil war that may take place at the King’s Landing, further leading to the Dance of the Dragons. The teaser ends with a powerful dialogue, “Dreams didn’t make us kings. Dragons did.”

We get introduced to the characters of Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), and Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke). House of The Dragon is based on Fire & Blood, written by George RR Martin.

On the whole, the teaser gave major nostalgic vibes to all the GOT fans and they are excited to witness this epic as soon as possible. House Of The Dragon will premiere on HBO Max in 2022. Meanwhile, HBO Max announced its arrival in Europe. It is all set to enter India soon as well.
