Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar has been admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru after suffering a heart attack. He was hospitalized around 12 pm today. It is reported that he suffered a heart attack while working out at the gym.
Puneeth is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unite(ICU). A health bulletin is expected to be released soon by the hospital authorities. However, it is being heard that the actor’s condition is critical.
According to the ANI, Dr Ranganath Nayak of Vikram Hospital, stated “Actor Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted after suffering chest pain at 11.30 am. Trying our best to treat him. His condition is serious. Can’t say anything as of now. His condition was bad when brought to the hospital, treatment on in ICU.”
A huge number of fans have been gathered in front of Vikram Hospital, worried about their favourite hero’s health. Meanwhile, many of his colleagues and fans are praying for his recovery.
The social media platforms are filled with recovery prayers for Puneeth. Just about a while ago, Karnataka’s Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai visited Vikram Hospital.
The family members, friends and industry colleagues of the 46-year-old actor have arrived at the hospital.
Puneeth is fondly called as Power Star and Appu by his fans. He started his career as a child actor and won a National Award for his performance in the 1985 film Bettada Hoovu. He debuted as a lead hero with the 2002 film Appu, which became a sensational hit at the box office. Since then, he delivered many blockbusters at the box office.
