Aamir Khan As T-Series Founder Gulshan Kumar In The Biopic

Despite ordeals in his personal life, Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan kept himself busy throughout the year. The actor has also wrapped up shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the remake of the Hollywood flick Forrest Gump. And now that he completed the shoot, his fans are eagerly waiting for the update on his next projects.

It is learnt that Aamir will soon team up with RS Prasanna for the official remake of the Spanish film, Campeones. Hopefully, the team will also make an official confirmation soon. But before that, Aamir Khan had announced that he will be playing the role of Gulshan Kumar in his biopic titled Mogul. But the makers have not made any updates since the second wave of the pandemic.

However, T-series chairman Bhushan Kumar confirmed the film is in the making. He said that they are not doing that film solely for business, but for emotions. “It’s a story that we want to tell the world. It’s about the kind of hard work my father did. That film will happen for sure,” Bhushan added.

To the unversed, Gulshan Kumar was the founder of the Super Cassettes Industries Limited (T-Series) music label in Bollywood. He founded T-Series in the 1980s and established it as a leading record label in the 1990s. He was murdered by the Mumbai underworld syndicate D-Company in 1997. Ever since then, his younger brother Krishan Kumar and son Bhushan Kumar are taking care of T-series.

Gulshan Kumar’s death was a cold-blooded assassination as he was shot 16 times outside a temple in Andheri. The news of his biopic left fans happy and fascinated, especially after talented star Aamir was roped in. Since the actor is busy with other projects, the dates are yet to be finalized. The film has also been delayed due to the lockdown. “We would decide on the shooting schedule once Laal Singh Chaddha releases in April,” he said. Aamir is someone who doesn’t work for multiple films at a time. He starts a new film only after the release of his previous one. Laal Singh Chaddha is gearing up for an April 14 release.
