Andhra Techie Accused of Raping Friend’s GF In Bengaluru

In a shocking case, two software professionals from Andhra Pradesh have been arrested over a rape case after they were rescued from a kidnap plan. The incident happened in Marathalli area of Bengaluru and the two accused are identified as Mahendra and Tarun.

The double crime incident came to light when Mahendra’s father lodged a police complaint about his missing son and roommate Tarun. Acting swiftly, the Marathahalli police formed special teams and rescued the two techies from Andhra Pradesh within six hours through CCTV tracking.

Police initially arrested 11 suspects, including the young woman, for carrying out the sudden abduction and demanding a huge ransom. However, the criminal investigation took an unexpected turn during interrogation when the female suspect alleged that she was raped by Mahendra at his flat between 1:30 AM and 4:00 AM on October 24 after a small gathering.

She further claimed that her boyfriend and his roommate Tarun helped in the crime by confining her inside a locked room. Following the incident, the victim informed her close friends about the alleged rape committed by both techies.

Seeking revenge and quick money, her group planned a conspiracy to kidnap both accused from their residence and extort cash from Mahendra’s parents back in Andhra Pradesh. The group assaulted the two men and locked them up before the police teams discovered them.

After recording the victim’s official statement, police filed a separate criminal case against the two software engineers from Andhra Pradesh. Officials confirmed that both legal cases will proceed separately in court based on independent evidence.

Local authorities are conducting a detailed inquiry into both the kidnapping plot and the sexual assault allegations.
