RGV Lands In Big Trouble For ‘Draupadi’ Comment!

No one in the country uses ‘Free Speech’ and Twitter like director Ram Gopal Varma and he mostly makes controversial comments that invite focus on him. Well some day or the other this has to end and perhaps the day is nearing.

In detail, RGV made satirical comments on BJP’s candidate for the President Draupadi Murmu. Two days back, RGV on Twitter wrote, “If DRAUPADI is the PRESIDENT who are the PANDAVAS ? And more importantly, who are the KAURAVAS?”

These comments did not go down well with the BJP and a few leaders have lodged a case for insulting Draupadi Murmu and women community. BJP leaders Raja Singh and Rakesh Reddy said that RGV is a waste fellow and should be put behind bars. We will show BJP’s power to him.

Sensing a big trouble RGV tried to do damage control. “This was said just in an earnest irony and not intended in any other way ..Draupadi in Mahabharata is my faviourate character but Since the name is such a rarity I just remembered the associated characters and hence my expression. Not at all intended to hurt sentiments of anyone,” clarified RGV in another tweet.

Despite clarification from RGV, the BJP is getting ready to file SC/ST atrocity cases and also contemplating to take legal action against the Tollywood director.
