Did Mohan Babu Hurt Sai Baba Devotees?

Actor Mohan Babu landed in a controversy with his comments on Shirdi Sai Baba temple. Going into the story, Mohan Babu financially supported the construction of Sai Baba temple in Rangampeta and on Wednesday, the idol of Sai Baba was established in the temple.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohan Babu said the temple gives a beautiful vibe. “In my opinion, devotees need not necessarily visit Shirdi where the original temple is placed,” said Mohan Babu. He further added that it was the suggestion of Vishnu Manchu to build a temple in a vast landscape and I was convinced with his recommendation. “This is the biggest Sai Baba temple in south India and it was built for all the devotees and their well-being,” said Mohan Babu.

However, a section of Sai Baba devotees objected to Mohan Babu’s statements while some did not find fault. “Shirdi is a divine place and Sai Baba was worshipped here. Mohan Babu should have avoided such comments that are demeaning in nature,” said a few devotees.

But the fact is Mohan Babu’s a true follower and devotee of Sai Baba and his comments were purely unintentional and he would never hurt Baba devotees sentiments. Besides Shiridi, Mohan Babu also visits the famous Sai Baba temple in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad on the occasion of Guru Purnima and offers special prayers to Baba.
