Nepotism & Self-Made: Chay’s Stunning Remarks

Nepotism is a never ending topic. In politics and film industries, the discussion around this happens every now and then. But the film industry is the easy target here and those who oppose nepotism, lash out at Bollywood biggies for promoting the so-called ‘Nepo-Kids.’

When it comes to Tollywood, though majority heroes have background, they have their ups and downs. In his first reaction, Naga Chaitanya spoke factual information and he was true in every sense.

“My grandfather and father being actors, I would certainly have a tendency to incline towards films and acting. I was inspired by them and stepped into the film industry easily. But it is very difficult to survive and I’m still working hard to make a name for myself,” said Chay.

Citing a hypothetical example, Chaitanya said if his film and a self-made hero’s film were released simultaneously and his film is limited to Rs 10 Crore and the self-made hero’s film does Rs 100 Crore, many producers would approach the self-made hero rather than him, said the Akkineni hero. He implied that it is common in any market that investors are after success and demand.

Continuing on the nepotism further, Chay added that if the kid of the self-made hero would want to become an actor in future, would the self-made actor would stop him from entering into films citing nepotism and tell them “We don’t believe in nepotism?” summed up Chay on this topic.

Naga Chaitanya has a clarity on nepotism and he spoke out his heart and softly shut down unwarranted debates.
