Liger Effect: Charmme takes a ‘break’

Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger ended up as the biggest disaster in his career. It also remained one of the biggest flops of this year in Indian cinema. Directed by Puri Jagannath, Liger featured Ananya Panday as the female lead. Charmme Kaur, Puri and Karan Johar have jointly bankrolled the project.

Before the release of the film, the team promoted it heavily across the country. They said that it is going to be a sure-shot blockbuster. Vijay went overboard and said that he will start counting the collections only after the film crosses the 200-crore mark. All these statements increased the hype around the film.

But the scene was entirely different when the audience entered the theatres. The movie was below-par and many people termed it the weakest work of Puri. Some of them wondered how this movie was made in the first place.

Later, netizens started trolling Vijay, Karan, Puri and Charmee hard on social media. This massive trolling eventually made Charmme take a break from social media.

Earlier today, Charmme tweeted, “Chill guys! Just taking a break ( from social media ) @PuriConnects will bounce back. Bigger and Better… until then, Live and let Live.”

Charmme, Puri and Vijay have teamed up for another film called Jana Gana Mana. It has to be seen if they manage to bounce back hard with this movie.
