A Big Crash Monday – Three Films Kicked Out

One of the most unpromising Mondays at the box office has completely shocked Tollywood folks now. Three films that are expected to do at least some good business in the mass centers have now shocked the distributors and exhibitors big time. Here is an update about the three latest films that are running at the Telugu box office.

Last Friday we have seen Vaishnav Tej’s Ranga Ranga Vaibhavamga and director Anudeep’s First Day First Show released at theatres. Both the films garnered unanimous flop talk in no time for their routine and silly stories that can’t hold the audiences for two long hours in theatres. The other film is Liger which was released a week previously and fetched a flop talk, and to minimize the losses it should run with some minimum footfalls for another week or so. Amidst a sea of superhits like Bimbisara, Sitaramam and Karthikeya 2, these three films are unable to make any cut.

Guess what, there are not even 10% footfalls even in the best of mass theatres by the end of the day on the first Monday. Rangaranga Vaibhavamga, First Day First Show and Liger lost it completely, while the first two films are also seeing some shows getting canceled in a few theatres. No doubt, the films get kicked out for their poor content and the audience will be looking forward to them on OTT platforms.

On the other hand, dubbed movie Cobra is also a flop in the making, but then, a few mass centres are seeing some crowds owing to the fact that Vikram will somehow mesmerise them with multiple avatars. However, that is not enough for the film to recover the investments of all the parties.
