Director Teja Clarifies About ‘Pushpa’ Loss Comments

You might have read it already in various social media posts that director Teja has recently commented that Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film “Pushpa” is a loss venture for some of his friends who own theatres. Apparently, this interview was published in a newspaper owned by a TV channel, and they have highlighted that Pushpa is a film that caused losses and it’s not a blockbuster. So, what did the director of films like Jayam and Nuvvu Nenu really say about it?

In another video interview now, Teja clarified that he never called Pushpa a flop film in the first place and even stated that Sukumar is his favourite director and would never comment on any film of that director. So what did Teja say? “Pushpa is a blockbuster film but its collections appeared like ‘flop movie collections’ because ticket rates in Andhra Pradesh are quite low then. But there is another movie that is average in terms of content but made collections like a blockbuster movie because ticket prices are hiked for it. That’s what I wanted to say”, he clarified.

Also, Teja added that he has no right to comment on any movie’s box office hit status or flop show because he himself never made only hit films or only flop movies. “I would not have that moral right to comment on other movies like an intelligent being” he articulated. These comments should actually cool down the army of Allu Arjun that is trolling the director for a time ever since that interview came out.

Teja’s new film “Ahimsa” featuring the debut of Suresh Daggubati’s son Abhiram in the lead, is hitting cinemas soon.
