A couple of years ago, onscreen pair, anchor Ravi and Lasya are a superhit combination. Though many thought that they are going to marry for real, Ravi shocked one and all by revealing that he was already married and had a daughter too. Later this onscreen couple split, and Lasya too married. And now, they have reunited for Star MAA’s Comedy Stars program again.
Ever since Ravi and Lasya joined hands again, the makers want to cash heavily on this onscreen couple. For the same reason, these two are coming up with a spoof of a superhit film in each episode. However, the twists they give to the actual story and the way they make a mockery of some characters are not got going well with a section of the audience.
For example in Uppena spoof, they make full fun of the villain chopping the genitals of the hero. Also in Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana spoof, they added a ‘ganja’ angle to the end, making fun of Srihari’s character. Even in the Magadheera spoof, they have made Kajal’s character kill Charan’s character towards the end. While they are super hilarious for sure, making TV watchers bump out of their seats, some hardcore fans are getting upset as some iconic films are being dissected like this. And naturally, the blame is going to Ravi and Lasya only.
However, it looks like the TRP ratings and OTT viewing minutes for “Comedy Stars” has grown up hugely after these spoofs are introduced. sdfsadf
