VSR And Veerayya Have Their Own Plus Points: Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan will be providing double treats for this Sankranthi with her two movies- Veera Simha Reddy with Balakrishna and Waltair Veerayya with Chiranjeevi will be arriving on 12th and 13th of this month respectively. The actress had a chit-chat session with the media.

“This is the second time in my career. Seven years ago, two films of mine were released at the same time. After many years, now once again two big films are being released for Sankranthi. I’m fortunate to get to work with legendary heroes like Balakrishna garu and Chiranjeevi garu.”

There will be a comparison between characters when two films release at a time. “The stories as well as my characters in both the movies are different from each other. There is a fun touch to my role in Veera Simha Reddy. My character in Waltair Veerayya will be totally different.”

About her fight sequence in Waltair Veerayya, Shruti says, “I like action sequences. The audience will miss the thrill if I reveal about the fight sequence. But Ram-Laxman masters designed it interestingly.”

While the song Suguna Sundari was filmed in humid conditions, Chiranjeevi Sridevi song was canned in freezing conditions. “Heat and humidity are not a challenge for us. But cold is very difficult to handle. One coat is not enough to withstand that cold, four coats are needed. Chiranjeevi also worked very hard. But when we saw the final output, we forgot all the hard work.”

Shruti says Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy are very special films for her. “Stories, characters, and treatment are different. Both movies have their own plus points.”

The starlet affirms there is an additional benefit if a fan directs their favorite hero. “Worshipping a hero from childhood makes a director aware of their strengths. My dad’s Vikram is proof of this. Lokesh Kanagaraj was a fan of dad. I found extra energy when Gopichand was working with Balakrishna and Bobby was working with Chiranjeevi. The audience will enjoy that energy on screen as well.”

About working with Mythri Movie Makers, Shruti says, “I worked for Mythri Movie Makers’ first movie Srimanthudu. Their journey since then has been amazing. They made many good movies. They are wonderful producers. It is not an easy thing to have two big releases at the same time. They did a lot of hard work. Naveen and Ravi are very positive people. They also have the quality to help others.”

The actress says she will be celebrating the festival with her family.
