ZEE5’s homegrown heist drama thriller ‘ATM’ is a big hit. Streaming since January 20, it has clocked 50 million streaming minutes in no time on the back of its content.
ZEE5 and Dil Raju Productions are delighted with the thumping response. As per the feedback they are getting, the Harish Shankar-mark story-writing is making a great deal of difference. Surely, the ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘DJ’ filmmaker knows the power of characterizations and a climax that makes the audience wait for the second season. ‘ATM’ has been described by viewers as a show with the best climax in recent times.
The story of ‘ATM’ evolves like that of a thrilling heist film. And the 8-episode web series is also well-structured, with the second half of the series being constantly engaging. Each episode has got the right running time. Subbaraju’s Hegde, an unforgiving cop, makes the investigation look flawless and realistic.
VJ Sunny, Krishna, Raviraj and Roiel Shree play four thieves. But the hidden 5th man in the periphery is a character nobody saw coming. The uncovering of the suspense is working wonders. The climax is another high point.
