The Telangana Labor Department has issued legal notices to the producers of Irumudi about the involvement of a child artist in the film’s promotions. According to the rules, the producers must obtain permission from the District Magistrate when they bring a minor girl on board for the film’s shoot as well as the promotions. The producers have been asked by the Labor Department to attend an inquiry regarding the same on 4th November.

The primary regulatory concerns highlighted by the authorities are regarding the legal permissions, financial protection, and the working conditions in which the child artist has participated in the film’s shoot. The labor department sought clarification on whether the production team secured the mandatory prior authorization from the District Magistrate before employing the child.

The labour department also wants to verify whether 20% of the minor artist’s total remuneration was safely deposited into a fixed deposit account in her name.

Additionally, the officials want to examine of the exact hours she worked during the production and public promotional runs. The submission of official documentation regarding parental consent and concrete steps taken to ensure her ongoing school education was not disrupted is also requested.

Directed by Siva Nrvana, the film is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Starring Ravi Teja in the lead role, the film has become one of the biggest hits in the recent times.
