Prime Video comes up with vintage Bollywood drama series ‘Jubilee’
Recently, Netflix scored success with its period drama Qala. Now, its rival streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video, is coming up with a period drama of its own. Titled Jubilee, the promo of this new show is out now on social media.
The promo features the introduction to the characters of Jubilee. Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurrana, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Ram Kapoor, Wamiqa Gabbi and Sidhant Gupta play the main roles in this series. The setup and the costumes of the lead actors look beautiful.
Jubilee explores life in Bollywood during the early 1950s. It is a fictional drama set in a newly independent India. We will get to know more details about the story once the teaser and trailer get released. Nandish Singh Sandhu, Shweta Basu Prasad and Sukhmanee Lamba play other key roles in the series.
Vikramaditya Motwane is the creator and director of Jubilee. Amit Trivedi composed the music for it. Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Studios have jointly bankrolled the project. It is set for a premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 7.
