Another Bollywood Villain, Audiences Worried!

The antagonists in the movies usually do all the bad things and deeds that ultimately meet a dead end when our protagonist decides to. That way the hero and villain become and end up as rivals. But of late, the rivalry of villains has shifted from the hero to the audience, thanks to the torment given by the corporate Hindi villains.

With an announcement that came today, the audiences are scared and worried that they have to see yet another Hindi villain who does mafia in black attire. Well, coming to the announcement, it is Arjun Rampal who will be seen as a villain in Balayya’s new movie in Anil Ravipudi’s direction.

Seeing a Bollywood actor’s name for a villain role in an NBK movie, the audiences are preparing to see a bad guy who locks horns with Balayya multiple times for the latter opposing his high profile ‘dandha’.

If we look at the most successful and failed commercial films, there will be a muscular baddie who speaks Telugu in a non-Telugu accent and mostly does the mafia of some kind. It is the same profile always but the person who plays it will change and sometimes it is the same person too. Unfortunately, the dubbing artist for these corporate villains is always the same guy.

Most recently, we had Dino Morea in Agent, Tarun Arora in Rama Baanam and the audiences have had enough. They no longer want to see the same guy doing the same stuff again and again with dialogues like ‘You might be this, but I am THAT!’

The only hope is the director Anil Ravipudi who is known for adding that comedy timing to the characters in his movies. It has to be seen if he falls for the monotony of Balayya’s villains or stands up against the routine baddies to make them look different and interesting.

When life gives you a Bollywood villain make him a Sonu Sood in Ek Niranjan but not a Vivek Oberoi in Vinaya Vidheya Rama!
