Bellamkonda’s Chatrapathi Failed To Repeat Rajamouli

Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ most awaited Hindi debut Chatrapathi was released the other day. However, the film got lukewarm response all over the North. Despite promoting the film aggressively, it failed to take off well at the cinemas.

The film is the remake of SS Rajamouli and Prabhas film Chatrapathi. The film also marked the Hindi debut of director VV Vinayak. The makers have made some changes to the original and made it suitable for the Hindi audiences.

The film has action sequences and rich songs shot in costly sets and expensive locations. Nushrat Bharucha played the female lead and popular Hindi actor and Sardar Gabbar Singh villain Sharad Kelkar played the antagonist in the film. KGF fame Ravi Barsur composed the background score whereas Tanish Bagchi composed the songs.

None seems to have worked to pull the crowds to theatres. Even in the South, the film didn’t get any buzz. There are no takers for the film in all pockets. Even in the mass areas, where the film is expected to work didn’t show positive results.

Overall, Chatrapathi that turned Prabhas career seems to have failed miserably for Bellamkonda in Hindi.
