Buzz: Salaar Makers Asking For ₹1000 Cr?

Salaar

Already it has come out how the business of Superstar Prabhas’ latest movie “Salaar” is happening like a hotcake. However, more than what the distributors and some leading producers of Telugu cinema offer to them, the makers are actually expecting much bigger and risky amounts. And here comes their target if some trade reports are to be believed.

According to the trade grapevine, the first part of Salaar will be raking up just ₹200 crores from Telugu states alone if the distributors pay what KGF makers Hombale Films demand. Also, the film has a huge Kannada market, thanks to Prashanth Neel, while Prabhas has a huge Bollywood market too. Despite Adipurush flop show, the Telugu and Hindi markets contributed to nearly ₹400 crores nett collection, which is actually the real stamina of Prabhas.

All these included, Salaar Part 1 is likely to fetch ₹500 crores in revenue from theatrical sales alone. And Part 2 will be contributing another ₹500 cr for sure. In all likelihood, only the film theatrical sales from two parts will fetch around ₹1000 crores, and that’s what KGF makers are asking for right now. That means the production cost of the film along with table profits will be recovered just from the theatrical sales, while OTT rights will be a big fat cheque.

We have to see if these numbers meet the expectations of the audience and safeguard the investments of the distributors.
