Star heroines back to the same league

Senior heroines in the film industry are making a remarkable comeback, proving that age is just a number when it comes to talent and star power. These actresses have shown they can deliver powerful performances and capture the audience’s hearts. Staring from Anushka Shetty to Kajal Aggarwal, all these senior heroines who slowed down in recent years picked up pace again.

Anushka Shetty, who took a break from theatrical films after “Bhagamathie,” has strongly returned with her recent film alongside “Miss Shetty, Mr. Polishetty.” She is reportedly doing a film with Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Tamannaah Bhatia, who scored some flops in between, has also been on a roll with her film “Jailer” receiving well-deserved acclaim.

Nayanthara, focusing more on female-centric films, garnered the limelight with her successful Pan India film “Jawaan,” the movie has once again asserted her position in the industry.

Kajal Aggarwal, who took a break after giving birth to her son, also has a film each with senior heroes Balakrishna Nandamuri and Nagarjuna Akkineni. She also has Kamal’s Indian 2 in her kitty.

Trisha Krishnan, who slowed down a bit and was the last option for the star heroes, emerged back with a bang after the success of “Ponniyin Selvan.” She is now doing Vijay’s “Leo” and will mark her comeback in Telugu.

The resurgence of all these senior heroines is a positive development for the film industry, as it signals the end of the shortage of leading ladies for senior heroes like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Balakrishna.
