In the world of social media, almost every clip goes viral, but most of the time in the wrong direction only. Last Friday we had the new web series “Sultan of Delhi” released on Disney+Hotstar, in which heroine Mehreen Kaur Pirzada her OTT debut by playing an important character. However, ever since the series was released, some lip-lock and bedroom scene clips of Mehreen from this series have gone viral on the net.
With few enthusiasts calling them ‘sex scene’ clips, Mehreen got offended and took to her Instagram stories to speak about the same. First of all, Mehreen has supported her decision to do those scenes saying that some scenes might go against morals but then as a professional actor, she has to do them as part of the narrative and her job. However, the actress got upset when media folks are calling that a sex-scene rather than calling it a brutal marital rape scene.
Mehreen stated that even these people who are calling that a sex scene do have sisters and daughters, and added that she is praying that they wouldn’t go through any such trauma in their personal lives. She wants these folks to understand the brutality and violence against women, rather than calling it a mere sex clip.
