A couple of days ago when Global Star Ram Charan’s new film was launched, along with heroine Janhvi Kapoor, her father, Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor also turned up at the event. Guess what, at the launch muhurat, the Bollywood producer heaped praises on director Buchi Babu who is the captain of #RC16 and stated that he wants to remake the filmmaker’s Uppena in Hindi with his younger daughter Kushi Kapoor.
Well, Uppena turned out to be the first-ever superhit during the COVID-19 times and that made Buchi Babu a sought-after name. But then, Uppena itself has the storyline borrowed from the superhit Marathi movie Sairat, which was actually remade in Bollywood with Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar in the lead as Dhadak. Except for certain changes made to the climax twist and all, and the change of backdrop, rest of the Uppena is pretty much Sairat and Dhadak only. Many are wondering what made Boney say that he will remake Uppena in Hindi now.
For the very same reason, many are trolling Boney right now if he has given that statement without even watching Uppena in the first place. On the other hand, the ace producer is said to be trying to get the right Telugu film for his younger daughter Kushi as well, while Janhvi already signed Devara and #RC16.
