Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is going to be his final on-screen appearance on the big screen. The actor made an active entry into the political ecosystem, and this will be his final movie. However, the film is not heading for a release as expected. The makers faced hurdles from the censor board, prompting the team to postpone the movie.
According to the reports, a member of the CBFC subsequently wrote to the chairman claiming that his objections had not been adequately recorded before the recommendation was made. Hours after the Madras High Court reserved its order on a petition challenging the Central Board of Film Certification’s decision to withhold a censor certificate, the team announced the postponement. Now, all eyes are on Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi.
Interestingly, the case is similar to that of Parashakthi. The CBFC committee reportedly suggested 23 cuts to the makers and the team is expected to receive the final certificate today. It looks like there is some delay in obtaining the same because of which the makers have not announced the censor details yet.
With only one day left for release, it’s better for the team to give an official announcement on the movie’s censor as early as possible. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi carries huge expectations at the box office.
