Yash’s Toxic Teaser Reaches Women’s Commission But…

Yash starrer Toxic is gearing up for a grand release in March this year. The film’s teaser has come out recently on the occasion of Yash’s birthday, and there is a huge backlash to the making-out scene, involving a woman and the lead protagonist.

Aam Aadmi Party’s Women’s Wing submitted a formal complaint to the Karnataka State Women’s Commission on the same.

As per the latest reports, the issue has also reached the CBFC. Usually, the censor board certifies only the content that is released in theatres or telecast on television. They do not censor anything that is streamed on social media platforms.

So, the CBFC has reportedly clarified that they cannot censor the controversial teaser that is streaming on YouTube or other similar social platforms.

The sources from CBFC have shared that they have yet to receive any trailer, teaser, or any other clip from the film. The film, starring Yash, is due for release on March 19, and they have yet to submit the assets to the board.

In a letter to the Women’s Commission, Aam Aadmi Party wrote that Toxic’s teaser contains obscene and explicit content, which could harm the social well-being of women and children. She also claimed that the content insults Kannada culture.
