Actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is making her debut as a director with a new film titled Saraswathi. The film features a talented cast, and the makers launched the trailer today, hinting at an emotional drama with thrilling elements. Natural Star Nani launched the trailer, creating a special interest in the film.
The trailer begins with Varalaxmi waiting at a police station registering a complaint about her missing daughter. Additionally, she confirms dropping the daughter off at school, but she is now missing. On the other hand, there is a couple, Priyamani and Kishore, trying to find their missing daughter. The two stories run in parallel, introducing us to other characters in the film.
Murali Sharma plays a cop, while Prakash Raj and Srikanth Iyengar play lawyers. Varalaxmi, Priyamani, and Kishore run from door step to door step asking for help.
The story unfolds into a thrilling legal battle with twists and turns, eventually revealing Varalaxmi procuring a gun and learning to fire it. “Not every woman will be a Saraswathi. If there is a need, she will even turn into a Kali,” she says in the end, delivering the film’s theme.
The film is being produced by Varalaxmi herself, along with her sister Pooja, under the banner of Dosa Diaries. Thaman scored the music of the film.
