Illegal IPTV Users Face Heavy Fines and Legal Consequences

Renowned OTT platforms have begun issuing legal notices to users of unauthorized IPTV services. Thousands of NRIs in the USA are receiving warnings through WhatsApp, email, and SMS.

Most of the NRIs have one or more illegal IPTV connections at home. Anti-piracy violations (Intellectual Property Rights offenses) fall under the purview of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

With ICE actively enforcing immigration laws, it has become very risky for NRIs to use pirated IPTV services, as it may eventually lead to deportation.

In this scenario, it is advisable to dispose of illegal IPTV boxes, remove all unauthorized IPTV apps immediately, and shift to legal OTT platforms to comply with US laws.
